Perennial Maintenance: Dividing and Transplanting

2 PM – 3 PM
Taught by Kathie Hoyer

Early fall is a great time to divide and transplant many perennials in your garden. Dividing helps increase blooms, reduce overcrowding, and prevent future plant decline. It’s also a great way to add more plants to your garden or give some away to friends. In this class, we’ll discuss proper techniques and which perennials are the best candidates for dividing in the fall. We will also head out to the garden for some hands-on work so you can try the techniques out for yourself.

Our first priority is maintaining a safe environment for our students and instructors. The following steps will be taken:

  • Per The City of St. Louis guidelines, everyone must wear a mask while inside The Studio
  • The Studio surfaces and supplies will be disinfected before and after every workshop.
