Poinsettia - Euphorbia pulcherrima
Marble: Known for its muted contrasting tones of pale reds and buttery yellow, Marble Poinsettias have slightly ruffled bracts and vibrant dark green foliage.
The quintessential plant of the holidays. Poinsettias do not like to be overwatered. Allow soil to almost dry out before watering again. If you pick up your plant and it feels light, it needs more water. Do not, however, allow it sit in water, adequate drainage is essential. Be sure to drain the cachepot, saucer or foil covering.
No fertilization necessary. Place your poinsettia away from warm or cool drafts since uneven temperatures cause bracts to droop. Best grown in 4 to 6 hours of bright, indirect sunlight. Bracts fade in direct sun.
