Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting, binding or bunching cloth and dyeing it with indigo. Each student will receive two yards of fabric to dye- that can be made into napkins, a table runner, tea towels or a pillow cover … the possibilities are endless! You will be able to allow your creativity to flow to produce a one of a kind product. This workshop involves the use of indigo dye and is held outside, please dress accordingly in old clothing that may be stained. Workshop is limited to 10 participants.
Shibori Dyeing classes will meet inside of Bowood. We will walk over to the field together 5 minutes before class begins.
