Tasty, brownish-purple fruit is produced in late summer. Attractive shrub or containerized tree with dusky foliage and wide, sprawling habit. Root hardy in St. Louis when planted in spring; site in a wind free location; mulch in winter; for best fruiting prune to one or two leaders. Deer resistant.
